In this article, I am going to share the 3 best ways to create an HTML Sitemap Page. Which will look more professional and easy to access for users and Google crawlers.

But before starting the process to create a sitemap page, Let’s talk about some basic knowledge about Sitemap and it’s work in a very simple and easy language without using so many technical words because plenty of articles are already doing that on the internet 

So the First Question which comes into every novice blogger mind in starting:-.

What is SiteMap?

A sitemap is an index page of your website (Imagine a Book) which gives information about website contents to users or google crawlers either it’s posts, pages, images, or videos. With the Help of this sitemap google crawler used to crawl on your website and understand your content and finally index your articles.

So in simple language, if you want to understand a sitemap then just imagine a book. In every book, there is an index page at the beginning. Which helps you to access any chapter or page inside the book.

Types of SiteMap?

There are basically two types of sitemap. 

• XML Sitemap:- This sitemap is basically created by XML coding and it is only used in the Google Search console.Because XML codes help crawlers to understand the links and then it crawls all over the site. Whenever you publish any new content then its link automatically populates in the XML sitemap and then it shows google bots a new activity and helps them to crawl frequently on the website.
• HTML Sitemap:- This Sitemap is basically for users but it also helps Google bots sometimes. This sitemap is a page that is created by HTML coding. On this page, all of the website contents listed with their relevant link and categorized together. So that if any user wants to access your every article so they can find it easily in one place. It helps Google crawler also. When Google crawls at your website and comes to this page then it finds all your article links in one place so that it crawls frequently on each article and indexes each and everything on your website. 

Why Do We Need SiteMap?

The main purpose of your Blog is to index each and every content and rank it on google's first page. And it can only happen if your website is crawled by Google bots. 

Otherwise, how can anyone or even google know that you have a website? 

So to let them know about your website, Sitemap works like a mediator and gives all information about your website content and activity to Google. 

That’s why Google sends its crawler frequently on your blog and indexes your articles. And if you are using SEO in articles then there is always a higher chance to get ranked on google's first page and get organic traffic. And I hope you better know this organic traffic means lots of money from ads.

Let’s Create an Advance HTML SiteMap For Blogger Website:-

Infographic HTML SiteMap Page

• Go to Blogger Dashboard and Create a New Page (Pages > +New Page)
• Now Put a Title First, named as Sitemap
• Just Below the title, click on the View option on the very first left side corner and Select HTML view
• Now First Copy the HTML code and paste it on this HTML View page.
• After Pasting the Code just change the given Website URL(https://yourblog.blogspot.com/)  to your Own Website URL.
• Now first on the right side select options and disable comments and then save the page first and then Publish by clicking on Publish Button. 
• Now your Professional HTML Sitemap Page is Ready. 
• Just go back and click on the View icon and then Copy the page link 
• And Open the layout section and create a menu named Sitemap and put your copied link there and Save it.

Grid View Advanced HTML Sitemap

You have to follow the same process as I described in the First option (Infographic HTML). 

Only you have to Download the Grid View Code from the given below Download Button and then paste it in the HTML view and Update it. And then your Grid view sitemap page is ready just like shown in the below picture. 

Note:- Follow the same process as described above for each and everything only codes are different.

List View HTML Sitemap Page 

Again you must follow the same process as I described above in the first option. Only you need to put the Listview Codes which are given below. 

Just download the codes by clicking on the given Download Button Below and save the code and then copy the code and paste in the HTML View option. Further Processes are the same.

Now your Professional Listview sitemap HTML page is ready as shown in the below pics.
